Yes, this will be the new name for my blog.

部落的名字一换再换，
之前一次的[(Untitled)]，
注意，有括号的，
用了蛮久的。

会用这个名字，
其实是蛮无聊的一个原因。

FireFox的tab function，
当你开了一个新的tab，
它的名字是[(Untitled)]。
同时，
FireFox的tab也会显示webpage的名称。

发现了这件事的我，
就这样无聊的把部落的名字改为[(Untitled)]。

现在又再次改名，
是厌倦了旧名，
也同时，
发觉到gerrardchong.blogspot.com已经出名了。

自从放了feedjit后，
一直，不断的看到有从各地，各种方式进来的读者；
再看回从一开始就有的sitemeter，
也发觉到我的blog平均一天有将近二十个visits；
前几个星期又放了Google Analytics，
有很多陌生人的visit，都是从Google search来的。

Google Analytics可以track到别人是从什么key word search到我的blog的，
让我很惊讶，且觉得gerrardchong.blogspot.com出名了的，
是[魔术方块达人]这六个字。
用一用十秒钟，
去google.com，
打下这六个字，看出现的是什么。

再加上如我所说的，
真的有太多我不知道什么人在看我的blog了，
它到底有什么吸引力啊。

当然，我还没有出名到有人找我打广告，有人找我去什么晚会，
更没有出名到去选举；
但，对我来说，
现在的这种状况，
我是出名了。

写了大概一年半，（不用找了，这个blog是经过整理的，在去年七月才重新开放）
承认，
就像许多人一样，
刚开始写时很兴奋的到处宣传，
好像要搞到全世界都知道那样。

慢慢的，
我不再在msn上放我的blog link，
在别人的blog留言可以的话也不再放上[gerrardchong.blogspot.com]。

为什么？
没为什么，
就不想。


说了这么久，
还没真正说到主题。

这表示我的blog有了知名度，已经有它的位置所在。

或许当某天有人谈到[gerrardchong]，
就会想起[gerrardchong.blogspot.com]这个地方了。

明天过后

女孩问男孩：

Study, or not - Part II

First of all,

大概说一下，
在那百多个受访者当中，
只有区区的四个人选了[Always]
大多数是[Seldom]


首先，
[Daily revision]的定义在哪里？

是真的每天都有读书，
还是一个星期读上四五次的也算？

我且把它定义成后者。

老实说，
我真的很佩服那些在第一天上课就可以手不离书的。
第一，我没那个心，
二，我没那个力气，
三，我没那个能耐。


这篇的重点是，
那四个[Always]的，
condolence,
拚成这样了都拿不到second upper，
一定很想撞墙死掉算了。

this is how the class of honour is classified,

First ----------- 3.67
Second Upper-- 3.33
Second Lower -- 2.67
Third -----------2.00

In order to get First Class Honour,
minimum CGPA (cumulative grade point average) is 3.67,
3.33 for Second Upper and so on.


会有这样的事情发生，
就不多做分析了，
个人有个人的专长，
不能硬逼自己从2.67变成3.67的。

如果把数据分成有读书没读书两部分，
后者占的巴仙率高达七十。

很奇怪的现象？
如果是在小学中学，
是的，
那会是一件奇事；
但，
在大学，
不同了。


小学和中学，
很明显的不同是什么？
大家都说得出，
尤其刚进中一时，
感觉轻松好多。
桌底下的抽屉不用再永远都放着成堆的功课，
课本也不用拿来当作掩饰上课时偷做功课的道具。

但功课一来，
就不像小学笔顺啦，订正啦，一加一等于多少啦，抄范文啦，
类似的机械式问题。
要做功课，
是要用脑的，要放心思的。

但没变的是，
还是一样多科目，
还是有那些没用的科目。


到了大学，
weeee,
可以更拚，
因为学费不便宜；
也可以更放松，
因为，真的可以放松。

Well,
Anthony说过，
不要总是认为大学难读，
想想看，
你在中学所读到的一科科目里，
又有分出多少个部分，
多少课？

在那众多的科目+chapters，
你们都能兼顾了，
还能同时每科都考到他妈的变态高分，
大学里所专注的四五科，
难不倒你们吧？

Furthermore,
大学里所读的科目大多数都算是你自己的选择，
你选的科系，
你别告诉我你读得很辛苦。
（那些被逼拿的白痴科目除外）

学习那些你兴趣的，你专长的，
应该是有趣好玩，加上得心应手吧。

读书，自然变得简单。

老实说，
F=ma
这个东东，
在中学是真的是算不明白的，
只是死记着在哪个case货物的重量有算在里面，
又哪个case是必须把两边的重量分开算，
就这样浑浑噩噩地把两年的物理过完。

在Foundation的Physics I,
才算了解了牛顿大人的理论。
慢慢的，也在各个部分的物理有了更深入的了解，
也发觉自己选的这条路没选错，
Physics is fun.


越说越远了，
In short,
大学生活可以是很放松的，
只是看自己的心态是怎样而已。


回来主题，
数据证明了，
大学生活不像中小学，
死读书是不行的，
给你在SPM拿二十多个甲等，
破什么鬼无谓的纪录，
那又怎样？

二十多个甲等，
我想请问一下，
你的专长到底是什么啊？
你应该去哪一个科系才算是不浪费啊？
我想，
还是不能免俗的，
医科吧，
[我想拯救更多的病人！]
好笑咯好笑。

到了大学，
你在班上的表现，台上的风度，
才是决定你地位的重点。


我甘愿让人说我爱现，
也不希望别人说我酸葡萄心态，
谁稀罕那种葡萄啊？

所以呢，
在那些数据里，
我算是第一排第三行(First row, Third column)的其中之一。

因为大概[seldom]的意思是十四个星期里，
有一两个星期是读书的，
对吧？

班上的同学做的一项research，

听到的报告，
female bloggers are greater than male
先不论是否真的这样，
但他们survey的对象，
90+ Female,
50+ Male

Duh，
如果这样还会得到男性blogger比较多的话，
女性blogger也未免太少了吧。


Advantages of blogging,
没有好好地去记得，
大概有消磨时间，广告赚钱，抒发情感之类的吧。

要说消磨时间，还可以；
但那些说因为闷才blog的，
herm....
三分钟热度的程度可能比我这个双子还严重。

广告赚钱，
其实我并不大懂如何弄的，
我想学，
单纯的想知道它是怎样function的，
我不会让我的blog充斥着一大堆为了赚钱的广告，
至少现在我是这样觉得；
哪天我的知名度像Kennysia或者JeffOoi时，
又另当别论了。

抒发情感，
我有写过一些些，
但越来越少了，
因为有多少人在看我的blog，

也是没什么特别去记，
但印象深刻的是got addicted

我是赞同的。

当然如果有些东西必须用方言才能更为准确地表达的话，
用上一些当然是没关系，
但如果整篇都以［aneh kuan eh mi kia lai xia eh ua]
这对看的人是种折磨啊。

除了方言外，
在华语的部分就必须注意语病，
太严重的错误是不可饶恕的，
可别说别人看得懂就好。

How about English?
Prevent Manglish, prevent short forms, prevent major mistakes.

Manglish即直接从华语，translate word by word，
eg. People mountain people sea
(I do met a guy who wrote this in an essay which is to be handed up to teacher.)

Short forms,
最为明显的吧，
有些真的是害我需要一点时间来理解，
看太过于short form的文章也是会死人的。

Major mistakes,
eg. I is blah blah, I is 15 years old this year, I has 2 brothers, 2 sisters
Horrible isn't it?

我的英语不是很好，但我都有把我写的英语都重读过，尽力不让太离谱的错误出现。
要批评我的英语的，先说声谢谢，帮我找出错误。
