Forward Mail

enjoy

[Stewardesses] is the longest word typed with only the left hand.

And [lollipop] is the longest word typed with your right hand.

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple.

[Dreamt] is the only English word that ends in the letters [mt].

The sentence: [The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog] uses every letter of the alphabet.

The words [racecar], [kayak] and [level] are the same whether they are read left to right or right to left (palindromes).

There are only four words in the English language which end in [dous]: tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous.

There are two words in the English language that have all five vowels in order: [abstemious] and [facetious].

Well, language stuffs, my English isn't that good, can't really comment on them.

TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard. (This is quite interesting.)

A [jiffy] is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second. (Definition from dictionary:instant, a flash of time)

Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.(We've got a good example, Jackie Chan >.<)

Babies are born without kneecaps. They don't appear until the child reaches 2 to 6 years of age. (Babies have more bones than adults too, they will join up as babies grow.)

A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.(Is this why it is so sensitive on sound?)

A goldfish has a memory span of three seconds.
Not sure whether it's true or not, but see the following first before commenting,

And this is what I got from the net:
[
So, believe or not, your call.

A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.(不是说鱼都没眼皮吗,我有点怀疑这个,但又找不到资料)

A snail can sleep for three years.

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.(有听过了,也查过了,对的)

Almonds are a member of the peach family.(Err.. Not sure.)

Peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite!(Well, if that's true, be careful when you are eating peanuts!)

February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon. (See this, that's why we shouldn't believe on everything we heard.)

In the last 4,000 years, no new animals have been domesticated.(Maybe that's true, tiger even been categorized under cat family.)

Leonardo Da Vinci invented the scissors.(Again, not sure, but I've got this from the net: 三千五百年前(約當B.C.1500年)剪刀雛型就已開始發展,埃及發現的剪刀可追溯到西元前300年,彈簧式剪刀始自青銅時代的古羅馬,但發明者已不可考.

Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.(Try it out and tell me the result!)

The average person's left hand does 56% of the typing. (Herm... Is it? Should pay some attention start from now.)

The cruise liner, QE 2, moves only six inches for each gallon of diesel that it burns.(Woot??!!)

The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket. (The inventor:Percy Spencer)

The winter of 1932 was so cold that Niagara Falls froze completely solid.(Must be cool should I say, or maybe, cold.)

There are more chickens than people in the world.(This let me think of something else, H5N1...)

Women blink nearly twice as much as men.(The fact:

If the population of China walked past you, 8 abreast, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction.(Make it 16 abreast then :P)
